Fall is here and with it comes some great produce that can benefit your health. Look for these delicious fruits and veggies in the organic section of your favorite food stores.

  • Apples – even though apples can be found year-round, this is their season to shine. Apples are full of fiber and vitamin C. They can also be great for battling infection and inflammation due to their antioxidant rich skin.
  • Carrots – these vitamin A rich roots can be great for snacks, salad garnishes or a part of a tasty stew. Carrots can be found in many different colors and are known for their ultraviolet radiation protection and also for their role in heart disease and stroke protection.
  • Eggplant – found at their best in early Fall, this low calorie food is best known for its phytonutrients that reinforce cell membranes, have cardioprotective properties and protect from free radicals.
